travel europe spain majorca monesterio/santuari de lluc

One of the highlights of our trip to Majorca was staying in the Monesterio de Lluc.
I found a reference to it in some travel guide and was able to make reservations from Barcelona.
Nobody spoke English here so I had the manager of our Barcelona hotel call for me.
Even he, who had never heard of it, was amazed at the inexpensive rooms it offered.

We made this our home base for exploring the island.
The room we had was simple, clean, and large.
A couple nights, we ate in the large empty diningroom and had a great meal.
Here, I discovered the chocolate covered "Magnum" ice cream bar that soon came to America.

Included here is an excerpt from my son Ryan's Travelogue on the area.
